Michael Boothman has over 25 years of playing experience and competed as top level junior in Florida. In college, Michael played for the University of Alabama Club Tennis Team, and over the years has played on 4.5, 5.0, 8.5, 9.0 USTA League Teams, and his team won the 2018 USTA 8.5 Sectionals. Michael's teaching career began when he was 18 as an Assistant Tennis Professional at The Country Club of Detroit for 4 years. From there he moved to North Carolina and became an Assistant Tennis Professional for Walnut Creek Country Club, then later becoming their Director of Tennis.

Having his roots in Punta Gorda, Florida, Michael Boothman is a renowned tennis player. He has been in this domain for over 25 years. When he was in his college, he represented the University of Alabama Club Tennis Team. Throughout these years, he has played on different USTA League Teams. During the 2018 USTA 8.5 Sectionals, his team even won.
Being an excellent player, he is aware of the importance of having proper and professional guidance. That is why he started guiding others for them to perform well. He started his career in teaching at the Country Club of Detroit at the age of 18. As an Assistant Tennis Professional, he served this organization for four years.
Later, he relocated to North Carolina, where he started working for Walnut Creek Country Club as an Assistant Tennis Professional. Sometime later, he started acting as the Director of Tennis over there. After teaching for many years, he left it and went on to continuing other interests. However, he realized that he was always more passionate about teaching.
Michael’s students find him enthusiastic as he brings a great level of tennis instruction. He enjoys working with players of all age groups. He always looks forward to using his passion and skills to improve the games of others. His students call him a proactive and patient instructor as they consider his guidance to pave the way for them.
